Troop 828 held its annual Holiday Party on December 6, 2004.
We had cookies and lemonade and a "White Elephant" gift exchange, which worked as follows:
Each of the 18 scouts in attendance brought a wrapped gift (worth $10 or less). Each scout drew a number from 1 to 18. Scout #1 chose a gift and unwrapped it. Then, one at a time, each succeeding scout got to "steal" one of the previously opened gifts or open one of the wrapped ones. A scout whose gift was "stolen" immediately got to choose another one in the same manner (but not the one that was just "stolen" from him). Any gift "stolen" three times stayed permanently with its last owner and was no longer available to others.
